In Douarnenez, the shipyards perpetuate a centuries-old art: boat building and restoration. In these workshops, expert hands shape wood, restore hulls, and breathe new life into old sailing ships. The Tanguy Shipyard: a renaissance between tradition and innovation

Founded in 1959 on the island of Sein before moving to Douarnenez in 1964, Chantier Tanguy has made its mark on Breton maritime history by building more than 150 boats. After closing in 1993, Yves Tanguy relaunched the workshop in 2003, revitalizing this iconic location. Between sturdy frames and sails ready to face the waves, we found in this environment a perfect analogy for our knitwear creations, where robustness meets timeless elegance.

Both a school and a shipyard, the Ateliers de l'Enfer trains the shipwrights of tomorrow.
